Striving for excellence, meeting the challenges of today, preparing students for tomorrow... Taylor High School lives up to its motto: Taylor Made for Success. Taylor has a strong academic focus that reflects the interest and involvement of parents, businesses and community leaders. The school day consists of seven 50-minute class periods. A broad-based curriculum gives students access to a wide variety of academic offerings in the core areas of English, mathematics, science, social studies, plus foreign languages, computer science, business, technology, fine arts, speech and journalism.

Clubs, organizations and athletics offer students of every interest a way to be involved in school activities. Students compete in Academic Challenge, Academic Decathlon and Octathlon, UIL events, Destination ImagiNation, Comedy Sportz and speech and debate. Campus publi​cations are the Mane Event newspaper, Stampede yearbook and Blue Review video magazine. Other organizations include Student Council, National Honor Society, Junior Achievement, foreign language clubs, Business Professionals of America, Future Business Leaders of America, and clubs for students with special interests: computer programming, art, philosophy, poetry and photography.
